Can we slay the tyrant, here?

The News of the World hacking scandal that I wrote about in April has become a worldwide phenomenon. The whole world knows how murder victims phones were hacked. More revelations will follow, with other tabloids, including News' other tabloid, the Sun, likely to be dragged in. 

News International repeatedly lied to the English parliament about phone hacking from 2006 to the present. It put the DPP on its payroll, after he had favourably limited the scoper of prosecutions in 2006. With News International's lies so brutally exposed, parliament faced a public challenge to its preeminent authority that could not be refused without conceding utter impotence.

In Britain the Rubicon has been crossed, and MPs, even Tories, are liberating themselves from their Murdoch demons. News Limited is perceived as a criminal enterprise and it is hard to imagine the BSkyB deal going through, where a week ago it was a done deal. The possibility of James Murdoch (and maybe even Rupert) facing criminal prosecution is being canvassed. News may even be forced to divest itself of its media holdings there.

But what of Australia? Fairfax has only perfunctory coverage of the affair on their sites and the Abbott/mad 'Lord' Monckton/News Ltd carbon hysteria carries on without a beat in Murdochland. What gives with feeding the public disinformation on climate change anyway, given its gravity. Should our leaders really pander to this tycoon who is misleading the public?

Editors and journalists working for News move from rag to rag around the empire, including to Australian titles, most of which are tabloids(of course the Australian is an altogether different kind of comic-book). Issues like collusion with police, phone-hacking and the activities of private investigators have to a concern. The other big issue is the too-close relations between some politicians and News, the perception(!) of secret deals, and the manipulation of the public through propaganda. Promoting fear and barracking for the police state.

Bob Brown has now called for an inquiry into the Murdoch press, given its near monopoly status, but without Labor party support it won't happen. Abbott has all too clearly thrown in his lot with the evil empire.

Now that the Carbon Tax is announced, I hope Gillard and the Labor leadership recognise the opportunity. Will they have the courage to slay the tyrant where it was born? The moment to do so has presented itself.

UK PM 'Dave' Cameron has seriously damaged himself by his serious misjudgement in hiring Andy Coulson, and getting too close to the Murdochs, not seeing this coming despite warnings. The whole affair exploded in his face. He is exposed as either stupidly naive or contemptuous of the public. Leaders of Australian political parties should ponder this fate.

 Our recent stagnation is a result of the collision of two forces, trapped in an eternal duality cage of black and white perceptions. For our western civilisation these are:  (a) the 'Romeo-/Catholic Vaticano' based authoritarian Kardinals who impose moral rules all over the world clearly serving the sole physical interest of their belly and their sole benefactor the pope. Those precious interests are global, guarded by the military order of the Jesuits, who refer only and directly to the pope, thru their one leader...
 Traditionally Jesuits are the long military sword of `GOD', and today, more actively than ever, expand the papal influence beyond Europe into for example the American White House. Thru politics, monotheistic religion , overt or covert interference in social matters, and misreadings of scientific findings, the Catholic lot with each succeeding pope in a leading role, are determined by any means to impose their own model of society based on their own dogma, morals and mundane practicalities. None realizing that they practice an old Jewish technique and act for Zionist interests etc.
 On the other hand we have the Masons, the Builders. Technicians, builders, alchemists and scientists, as well as some artists, came together in the dark medieval years and formed secret societies to protect, circulate and expand the knowledge of the Cosmos that the Pope and the Holy Spanish Inquisition had obvious reasons to hide and manipulate at will. So, they had to be secret and very well organized - like the Christians of the Roman era.
 Isn't it funny how history repeats itself but with another lesson each time.
 The 'Masons'- initially a clear reference to the qualities of builders in stone- Free Masons as they came to be known in the US, as they were not persecuted there, would build the new era after the fall of the Catholic tyranny.
 Their determination to the cause, their scientific accuracy and wisdom, the sheer logic of their argument, the secrecy, the devotion and punishments, the perfect structure and degree of infiltration in key society positions would quickly bring them the leading role in a successful long-term offensive against the Vatican's dominance.
 The Renaissance, if nothing else, helped the masonic ideal to shape Europe's future, and later, in new found lands, the masonic lodges have kept on surprising as they take the masonic ideal to different levels in each new era, adjusting to and manipulating global situations.

People always had suicidal tendencies in prisonlike high altitude vertical flats. But it was the urgency of the increasing problem in the 60s which led to studies and from the studies to political decisions to demolish the flats and rebuilding of 'neighbourhood blocks' of cute three floor houses.
Pollution was the deadly enemy for all cities during the 80's
Greenies were protesting, the mainstream was terrified of losing their driving liberties, but finally somehow common logic survived;meaning:
Cities got cleaner rivers and cleaner seasides: patrolled beaches got cleaner, and all without jobs being lost, or driving liberties being suppressed.
When people want, people do.
Now again people are called to act,organise instinctively and invent solutions,
 solutions for energy and environment,solutions for economy and coexisting on a finite planet.
Locked between religious fundamentalists and hypnotised marketeers,
we'll never reach any desisions and the clock is ticking.
Masses of god trusting people ,leave everything to"Him"; some literally salivate with the idea of total destraction so they 'll go to "heaven".

for better returns with more local destructions.
 Both of these big masses of humanity trust their immediate future in somebody
else's hands.Nobody wants to feel responsible enough to actually take a decision or do something.They both believe in "systems not failing".

Unfinished Business

One of the first things the newly elected PM Kevin Rudd did was to apologize for misconduct to all the native people of Australia, and assure us citizens (electorate) that it - primarily - would be the policy of the Labor government to reinstate Native People to their proper status as Australian citizens.

Nothing in this direction has happened since. Instead of withdrawing the troops,  Mr Rudd expanded their mission As a result of the Sorry speech, the practice in the field was to send army, police, private securities, Job Networks and then medical staff followed and supported by psychiatrists, prescription drugs, and strict rules for alcohol consumption, public assembly and parenting, with money handling controlled by the government trustees.

All those humiliating methods, which have been proven by now to crash down personalities, destroy lives, careers, families, and promote apathy and degradation.

xndraw is a program to draw tileable shapes and wallpapers written by John O'Driscoll. It is written with free opensource tools, and is intended to be made freely available, and modifiable.

I wrote it to visualise tileable images, after seeing ceramics by Guy Crossley, as I couldn't see how to come up with new patterns without a drawing aid

Currently it's a fun toy. It could be a lot better at reproducability , have more patterns, robustness, the list goes on

I have learned that the dole is not for artists. It does not matter how many paintings you have created, how many you've sold, how many shows, or fans. You could have an exhibition the pope (urgh!) was attending, but if you have an interview scheduled with some dullard, or worse, at the 'Job Network', you'd better attend so they can suggest telemarketing 'work', no matter how unsuitable you are for cold-calling people during dinner to tell them lies. Attending, the more shit-faced the better, is compliant. Visiting a sick relative, or even seeking work, is not.

A successful artist creates an econamic engine that goes for centuries. People are still trading Rembrandts, centuries after he was given a pauper's funeral. Vincent van Gogh sold 2 artworks in his lifetime. Yet today he is one of the leading contributors to the Belgian economy. Of course he was driven mad with despair in his lifetime, and took his own life, which. as speculators like to joke, was a good career move.

In order to make things interesting the Salvation Army cut me(Johno) off the dole for 8 weeks  as preparations for this exhibition gathered steam. I never did like them, but for any Salvo who importunes me at the pub, or whatever: I owe them an earful. I return your propaganda with usurious interest. No doubt they got a handy bribe for this public service. The only assistance these people have given me is ... cutting me off. This is supposed to make me 'compliant'. Well, I'll comply with my heart, my mind, my community, not with second-rate bureaucratic fascism. They've done me a favour. It disgusts me to see all this corporate welfare paid in my name.

And what a public service it is! The Australian Lawyer Party would prefer we all committed suicide. Or put on a monkey suit and disappear, like Garrett. This sort of thing is another none-too-subtle hint. One monopoly propagandist is quite enough artist for this planet. As for the audience, let them watch televised sport and learn to be grateful.

The whole idea of the so-called Job Network is to demoralise its victims. It's a propaganda shop. Its employees are paid to believe the line. And of course to punish anyone who comes in the door. Marius Kloppers' 2-bobs worth on climate: BHP generated emissions are qualitatively different from those from other sources (because they have cornered the coking [ie steelmaking] coal market): so BHP's should not be taxed, or included in targets. Let the peasants pay.

Isn't it about time a law was passed explicitly excluding new CO2 emissions from compensation arrangements, from today onwards? Corporations will otherwise build coal power stations etc to get their nose in the compo trough. That's if any compensation is to be given at all to CO2 emitters who must close down, or change. I think it shouldn't: this whole cap-and trade business has been designed to guarantee profits to the corporates, while shifting all the costs onto the public. So much for the 'free market'.

a painting from 1996, still relevant today: engineering a power grab - the secret police or deep state tactic of using, and perhaps creating, events is not new, doesn't date from the day al Qaeda dialed 911, if you can believe they would independently choose the US emergency number as the 'significant date' of their attack. My view is that the spies and al-Qaeda effectively form an alliance against the rest of us, turning 'western' and 'Islamic' worlds into armed camps under emergency law. Naturally the spies and 'deep state' are needed to run the show.

The war in Afghanistan has, on the face of it, no coherent strategy, and is 'impossible to win', and yet the military have their heart set on staying there for another 10 years or more. Why? When viewed as a creeping takeover(with 6 monthly expansions of security law) of their own society it makes a bit more sense.

The Oklahoma bombing was another outrage where the publicly disseminated story didn't completely add up -who was the 'guy in the hoody' seen nearby - , and which was followed by clamour for expanded security powers
