Good Space Videos

Some videos from the Goodspace Festival, the dancxefloor on the first event as well as a few songs from the 28 December

More from the same night

Last night. - 28 December

While the audio is good the video here isn't. I didn't notice on the little screen but all 3 videos are hopelessly out of focus despite the AF interface acting like it had a handle on stuff.

It's a shame because the  light show(*) by Yao was awesome -  as well as the 2 singers I was able to stay for. I'll get their names from my book later and most like cut the songs into clips and put them here

*One of the first shows I ever prepared for was to use a colour, oil and water to create an overhead projector light to project over a dance performance at my school. I didn't do it as my grandfather Poppa (Norman Sheather) died and I went off to his funeral and missed the show

Goodspace getting started

I've been getting started on cataloguing the work on level 3 and my stuff on level 2, and taking photos of the space as I go. Here are a heap of pictures that I'll get onto captioning soon once that is done.

Frames

Theseare a few frames I made recently from some salvaged timber we have in our yard - and preserving the store of carbon it embodies

Fire on the South Coast

This is one of the Climate Change UV paintings to show at the Goodspace festival that is about to launch(cast and crew party is this saturday 17 december)

The back of the same frame with the shellac and brush for application

Frame for Fire during Flood before varnishing

A painting by Grace Woods to exhibit at Goodspace

Lights for Goodspace

I'm making some UV lamps from 3W 390nm LEDs along with some bits of wood, metal scraps and cut off champagne, vodka and other bottles silvered as reflectors, lithium batteries and components like switches and tiny usb charging/decharging circuit boards

A baby Ewok?

The LEDs are identical to those at the top except that they soldered onto these little plates - with the others I glue them onto copper nails to dissipate heat a bit

A half-assembled lamp showing the switch mounted on a bit of aluminium along with a battery holder, and a breakout board to control the battery. (the actual lamp part is out of frame on the end of the fat dowel - or will be)

Another lamp base a bit earlier in the process, ready to fit a switch

Waiting for glue to dry...

Energy fire

High Voltage transmission towers illuminated by flames from a Russian attack on the Ukrainian energy system. They (with their OPEC+ buddies and aligned financial interests) attempt to force fossil fuels down our throats forever.

I'll be exhibiting this with some other fluoro paintings of climate change disaters like Australia's fires and floods since 2019
