more King St drawings

A few more drawings of King st. I do them inbetween portraits while busking on the street (and giving away prints - signature for a donation!).

Sit down and look into my eyes! if anyone who's got a portrait I've made of them could you please  send me a photo of the drawing. I'll post it here and on my portrait blog. Send a photo of yourself/ves as well. I'll be eternally grateful

Put the drawing on a surface outdoors in bright even shadow (ie not direct sun, but not in the dark either).Take a few shots from straight above so the drawing is square(as possible) in the viewfinder. Otherwise if you have an a4 scanner you could(if its not larger than A3) get scans of each half - letting them overlap. Email the photo/scans to me at my gmail account. My username  is subgeometer

I'll fix the levels(ie make the paper white) and post them. If you want to learn how to do that yourself, it basically involves , in some image editor like gimp or PhotoShop, first make the mode grayscale, set level on the whole image so you have some white by moving the white point, then use the selection tools(I use the lasso mostly), feather with a large value(200 pixels?), and the level tool, pulling in the white point 30 or so levels at a time. Repeating until paper is white. Sometimes the black can be fiddly too(this indicates poor lighting), but generally just move the black and grey points for the whole image

This seems to be my favourite bin. You can also find it here

A balcony on the main street makes a nice observation post.
