Staves Open Mic Night

 

 

A couple of days ago (17/11/22), Xanthe went down to perform at the open mic night at Staves on Grose St behind Broadway shopping mall.

 

I didn't see her act this time. I could only stay for a bit so I drew the performers who came on while I was there (but didn't yet get their names, except Barry singing and playing guitar(left-handed, to the left). A Swiss woman sang in English for the first time - "mad world"

 

 

 

And the guy on the right performed on stage for the very first time!

 

In the middle are strangely anthropomorphic leaves I drew at a meeting from the plant in the corner of the room

 

 

 

When I get more names I'll add them to the captions for the pictures

Thanks to Perran's tireless efforts wrangling a DA through the bowels of the council planning department. They just really want to support the Arts, so there's just so much they need to know, a movable feast of learnings that spur them to further learnings

Opening on December 2 for 3 months just off Broadway on Bay St, 2 and a half levels of music, art,projection.
