Staircase Table

The staircase table finished, all varnished and with a lower shelf made of a piece of a step

An inlayed slot on the top where a step once sat

The base with the cedar shelf attached and lacquered

A couple of goofy planter boxes made from leftover bits and pieces - I'll attach some loops of ancient rope as handles

An old cedar staircase inlaid with offcuts and sandwiched between pieces of kauri, meranti and oregon. The frame is vrious Australian hardwoods(2 red and one pinky yellow) and a couple of pieces of cypress and red cedar.

I've yet to add a little lower shelf from a piece of a cedar stair.

A tabletop with an inlayed cedar staircase in the middle, with a pair of oregon planks and meranti and kauri strips. Older images as Made and I glued it together(and a bunch of other woodwork) are in this older post

Its base after some rustication with the slightly gap toothed plane. Its mostly various red and yellow hardwoods with a bit of cypress floorboard, oregon and 4x2 from a cedar door as cross pieces on the short sides. I've got a bit of leftover cedar step to use as a lower shelf

A finished coffee table

With a half finished sydney harbour bridge behind, which I'm about to get back to. I just got a big Sydney landscape commissiion so Im excited, and its finally warming up
