Paintings by Ye Naing, John O'Driscoll and Tina Cheung at Buzzzbar at 349 King St Newtown.

We open on Thursday 4 May from 6-9pm so come along and meet Ye and I, and hopefully Tina - who has a pyshical disability that makes it difficult for her to get around.

There will be a catalogue here, once I put it together

The show will hang for (at least) a few weeks

Marguerite, Peter, and Justo

The pink is an improvement over the green I think, but there's still a way to go with this

There is paint on most of the canvas now - the colours will change a bit, I'm mucking about to see what I like
I'm feeling my way a bit further along with this, using leftover paint from other projects

Floyd and Margaret

Floyd's just lost a couple of toes. A complication of the warfarin he has to take.

He's a regular at rough edges but hasn't been around much for a while. He's been waiting forever for compensation for his original injury, and a place of of his own to live

There's still some empty space on the mural on the wall so I'll paint a portrait of Floyd there as he requested

Around the Bend - Signs for the Record Crate

Dunny signs to be precise - people are having a hard time finding the toilet at the Crate so I'm painting a few signs to help them find their way - a set of toilet hands

Around the bend - this one will hang above the bar.

Woolloomooloo Viaduct - Above

I was about to say I'd finished this piece buut then realised I still have a few things to fix up, mostly the frames the train power wires hang from. I've been preparing some canvases to start a picture down below on Cathedral St

Sunday Arvo with Martin

Martin in his loungeroom. He had one of his Sunday arvo parties but it rained so noone else showed up. We went down to the Frisco for a beer

Upstairs at the Frisco hotel.

I also did a portrait of Penelope which I'll add here later if she sends me a copy

A fragmentary drawing of the corner of King and Wilson Sts in Newtown from when I was drawing portraits last friday
